Daniel Greer has always been an active part of National commission for the Jewish on Public and Legal Affairs. He became a part of it since the inception of the Commission. This organization was created mainly for helping in advancing the cause of Jews that are orthodox. Both from a legislative and legal standpoint, this commission aimed at helping to bring an end to all kinds of discrimination against Jews. This also helped work out labor regulations for observers of Sabbath. With the commission Daniel Greer joined hands and did a lot of civic works and some of them are mentioned below.

Daniel Greer joined two individuals named Marvin Schick and Reuben Cross to form a group, while he worked at Barlett, Thatcher and Simpson.
