Daniel Greer and his successful efforts with the renovation

Daniel Greer the Rabbi, is the New Haven’s Yeshiva who took great level of civic interest in the neighborhood of Edgewood. Greer worked for renovating some very beautiful houses that stood long neglected in area that was awarded twice by the Preservation Society of New Haven. He worked immensely with volunteer designers and architects that revitalized the homes with a color scheme that is completely thematic. The houses were revitalized in a manner that blended quietly with the area around.
He said that it is indeed one of the greatest privileges in collaborating with many of the craftsmen that devoted many hours of careful work for the purpose of restoration. Many a times, the vintage woods needs reproduction and the intricate designs of the original plaster have to be copied. Thus, Yeshiva was honored to participate in the projects.
The story of engine 9
With all kinds of revitalization and restoration works in the neighborhood of Edgewood, the Rabbi turned out to be the first responder for local firehouse. In the recent support rallies he spoke in support for engine 9. Daniel Greer went on to share a story that was quite personal where his family was amazingly saved from a building that was burning. He finds the firemen to be interesting chaps because it was them that helped the entire smoke-filled community.
Engine 9 is intact as it is
The entire neighborhood was rebuilt and re-furnished but Engine 9 remained as it is. This neighborhood was lifted by the bootstraps and thus he always wanted it to remain there.
