Daniel Greer’s Work and professional phase of life, after he completed his education was a complete roller coaster ride. He went on to do a lot of things, experimented and tried several things, stuck on to his orthodox values and put his relentless efforts to make alterations to the society. After completing his graduation from The Princeton University he joined a Wall Street Law firm to proceed with his profession. He, however, did not work there for long and shifted quickly into the administration of John V. Lindsay. He initially joined and worked as an examining attorney for the investigation commissioner but was subsequently promoted to become the general counsel of Ports and Terminals. He was also promoted to become the Deputy Commission of Ports and Terminals Later.
Greer’s advocacy for the state
While Daniel Greer was working as the counsel and commissioner for the Ports and terminals, he also got associated with the Save Soviet Jewry movement. He was also one of the prominent and vibrant figures that got the United States State Department to indulge and intervene in the Leonid Rigeman case. In 1972, he stood up as a democratic nomination from the state assembly in one of the Manhattan district in the upper west side. He didn’t just drain himself working as a lawyer for 14yeras but has also served the New Haven City as a police commission. One of Daniel Greer’s greatest contributions to the New Haven City was setting up of the Orthodox day school for the Jewish people.
