Daniel Greer has been working incessantly for the orthodox Jewish community all across the United States. Much of his work remains concentrated in New Haven, Connecticut. The much-revered Rabbi Daniel Greer founded the school Yeshiva of New Haven in the year 1977. He did this under guidance of Emanuel Gettinzer. The design of the school curriculum is such that it enables the students to assume among other things, leadership roles inside the synagogue. This becomes possible because of the partnership of Yeshiva of New Haven with the related synagogue.
The prestigious school believes in the dictum of catching them young. Once a boy reaches the nine-year mark, the inauguration, or chinuch age it becomes possible for him to lead prayer service portions. Such specific portions available to the students to lead include hymn Kabbolas Shabbos. This hymn opens the Shabbos prayers on the Friday evenings with recitation of complete psalm segments each morning. The young boys can also read haftorah prior to the congregations. They would read this from parchment scroll.
The student has to first memorize proper vocalization associated with each of the work beforehand. Shul is the celebration of accomplishments of the young men. It acknowledges that these young people are the pride of the school Yeshiva of New Haven as well as their respective families. This school has high ethical and moral standards that spill on to the related community as well. The students here undergo training in charitable giving, the tzedakah. Families of the school support a number of charities like Yad Ezra.
